TENDER NO 63/2010: SUPPLY, INSTALLATION, TESTING AND COLD COMMISSIONING OF 2 × 1.6 MVA AND 2 × 1 MVA 11000 / 400 V TRANSFORMERS, (DYN11), WITH ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT FOR THE 15 ML MOSSEL BAY DESALINATION PLANT
Tenders are hereby invited from suitable contractors with a 3EP or higher CIDB grading for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of equipment for the supply, installation, testing and cold commissioning of 2 × 1.6 MVA and 2 × 1 MVA 11 000 / 400 V Transformers (DYN11), with associated equipment for the 15 ML Mossel Bay Desalination Plant.
Tenders must be submitted on the original documents and shall remain valid for 90 days after the closing date of the tender. Enquiries about the tender and the completion of the documents can be addressed to Mr C A van Wyk at telephone (044) 691-2074.
A set of tender documents can be obtained at a non-refundable cost of R150 per set from the Consulting Engineers, CVW Mechanical & Electrical, 24 Bland Street, Mossel Bay at telephone (044) 691-2074. Payments must be made by crossed cheque payable to the Mossel Bay Municipality. Documents that are e-mailed to prospective bidders will be free of charge. Additional sets of tender documents are available at a cost of R50 per set.
In terms of the Preference Points system prescribed by the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act 5 of 2000, the Municipality will award a maximum of 4 points for suppliers located in the Mossel Bay Municipal Area.
Fully completed tender documents must be placed in a sealed envelope and placed in the tender box on the Lower Ground floor (seaside) at the Municipality by not later than 12:00 on Friday, 30 July 2010 or be mailed to reach the Tender Box, Mossel Bay Municipality, PO Box 25, Mossel Bay, 6500 before the specified closing date and time. The envelopes must be endorsed clearly with the number, title and closing date of the tender as above.
